_____

This is our Peggy, she is a 5 year old berner girl that spend her life in a puppy mill. When we  got her she was very scared of everything but this girl is just amazing, she turned into one loving sweet girl.
She is excellent with kids, adores them, she is good with other dogs, has not been around cats. She walks on a leash, asks to go outside for walks now, she loves masages and getting groomed, she is our little princess.
She is fine with everyone that comes to the home and just plops herself in the middle of everyone.
She is still a bit shy with men but she sits now with her fosterdad and loves it when he pets her.
She is not fully housetrained yet, when the door is open she will just go out and do her business but when the door is closed she doesn't ask yet, so she will need some training but is def. one smart girl , she comes when you call her and she listens very well.
Peggy will need a fenced in yard and a family that is willing to take the time for her to trust them, it didn't take long for to start loving her foster family that is for sure.
Peggy is in RUFFIN,NC but can be adopted out of the area.
When you like more information about Peggy or you like to adopt her, then please send us an email at [email protected]

ANGEL | ADOPTED
Angel is a sweet girl who is very confident and comfortable with people and other dogs alike. She has quickly acclimated to her foster sisters and is happiest when getting attention and playing. She is doing very well with her housebreaking ...already going to the back door and making noise to tell us she needs to go out. She is doing well with her crate and has no problems sleeping in the crate when we are not with her. She is learning some basic commands (doing well with "sit" and we are beginning to train "down") ... she also walks pretty well on leash (especially when with the other dogs) and even does well coming when called. Angel will make someone very happy. If our house wasn't full, we would never be able to give up this special girl. She is full of energy and has lots of love to give to her forever family.

Although safe, these dogs may be undergoing medical treatment, temperament testing, and/or foster placement for socialization.  If you are interested in one of our special babies, we ask that you read the FAQ's and then complete the adoption application.  Questions and applications can be sent to our Board Member, Lisa Florin.    We have a high volume of applications to review and are very serious about where our rescues are placed, so please allow at least two weeks for our committee members to review the application.

Please also note, many of our rescues are placed quickly and don't even make it to our website for posting...that's a great thing!

Prior to placement all BARC dogs are:  spayed or neutered; microchipped; checked for heartworms and parasites and treated if necessary; brought up-to-date on all vaccinations, in some cases boosters may be necessary; and are on heartworm and flea/tick preventives.  In the event that a puppy is too young or a dog too ill to be spayed or neutered prior to placement, the contract will require the adopter to spay/neuter the dog within a reasonable timeframe.
